The Maze Runner film series, based on the young adult novel series by James Dashner, consists of four movies: The Maze Runner (2014), The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials (2015), The Maze Runner: Death Cure (2018), and a spin-off film, The Maze Runner: The Kill Order (pre-production, but delayed). The series primarily revolves around Thomas, played by Dylan O'Brien, and his journey to escape a mysterious maze and uncover the truth behind the organization known as WICKED.

The first film, directed by Wes Ball, introduces us to Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), a teenager who wakes up in the Glade, a mysterious place with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He soon discovers that the Glade is surrounded by a massive maze, which is the only way to enter or exit. Thomas, along with other teenagers, known as Gladers, must navigate the maze and uncover the secrets behind their confinement. The movie follows Thomas's journey as he becomes the leader of the group and works to uncover the truth about the maze and the organization controlling it.
Thomas, shattered, confronts Dr. Paige. She reveals the ultimate truth: the Immunes’ blood doesn’t just cure the Flare—it contains a memory map of how to rebuild humanity’s immune system. But to extract it fully, they need Thomas’s brain. Teresa, having switched sides again, helps Thomas trigger an explosion that destroys WCKD’s main lab. Dr. Paige dies. The facility collapses.
