The afternoon was when things took an interesting turn. Our school had organized a community service event, where we were encouraged to participate in activities that help the less fortunate. I had signed up for a session at a local library, where we were to help organize books and read to children. It was a humbling experience. Seeing the smiles on those children's faces when we read them stories was heartwarming. There was this one girl, not more than 8 years old, who had a passion for science fiction. We ended up discussing our favorite books in that genre for hours. It was both inspiring and a reminder of the impact we can have on others.
