The second installment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Attack of the Clones, took viewers on a thrilling journey through the galaxy far, far away. From the lush forests of Kamino to the arid deserts of Tatooine, the film's diverse range of planets and environments were brought to life through an array of impressive filming locations. Here's a guide to some of the key locations used in the production of Attack of the Clones:
The jungle planet of Christophsis, where the Republic's clone troopers first engage in battle, was filmed at various locations, including the forests of British Columbia, Canada.
The viaduct’s brutalist concrete pillars provided the perfect "urban canyon" for a high-speed crash. The crew built a 40-foot section of the speeder and detonated it using air mortars. This location has since been destroyed (replaced by a new bridge in 2022), meaning a piece of Star Wars history physically no longer exists.
When Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker go into hiding, they retreat to the lush, serene world of Naboo. While the planet was introduced in The Phantom Menace , Attack of the Clones showcased its romantic side.
