The sun was setting over Medford, Texas, but inside the Cooper household, the lighting was strictly artificial. The blue glow of a CRT television illuminated the face of Sheldon Cooper, age ten. Beside him sat his father, George Sr., and his twin sister, Missy.

The tire was fixed. The pot roast was consumed (it was indeed slightly chewy, but Sheldon didn't mention it). Now, father, son, and daughter were back in their respective spots on the couch.
