The first season of (H.265/HEVC) picks up just days after the explosive series finale of Power , shifting the focus to Tariq St. Patrick as he attempts to step out from under his father's shadow while saving what remains of his family. Season 1 Overview

Tariq is cornered. He needs to sell the product, but Monet cut the supply. He realizes he has to go around Monet. He calls Cane, exploiting the tension between mother and son. He tells Cane that Monet is freezing him out because she thinks he's sloppy. He proposes a side deal: Cane gives him the product for the Riley sale, they split the profit 50/50, and Cane proves he’s the "boss" Monet thinks he isn't. Cane, fueled by ego, agrees.

The location is a converted warehouse. Neon lights, heavy bass. Brayden is nervous, acting as the lookout. Tariq arrives with the product. Riley is there with his crew. The transaction goes smooth until a rival crew (associated with the dealer Cane beat up) bursts in. They aren't there to buy; they are there to rob.

To fund the legal battle, Tariq partners with his roommate Brayden Weston to launch Course Correct , a drug distribution app disguised as a tutoring service.
