I clicked the icon. A sleek, translucent window skated across my desktop. It was Rainlendar —the calendar application that promised to organize my life with the precision of a Swiss train conductor. It was beautiful, customizable, and currently, utterly blank.
I sat in front of my monitor, the glow of the screen illuminating the chaos of my desk. Sticky notes were plastered around the frame like hieroglyphics of a forgotten civilization—a civilization that remembered to buy milk and call the dentist.
