Nissan P155b-00 [2021] «2024»
This is the brain that dictates how the electric motor and generator function within the Nissan’s powertrain system.
Debris (rocks, ice, or sticks) physically jamming the shutters. Faulty Shutter Motor/Actuator.

Technicians inspect the negative terminal for corrosion (white/green powder buildup) and check that the sensor ring is tight and properly seated. nissan p155b-00
Corrosion in the connectors leading to the PCM or HVCM, causing high resistance.
Use an OBD2 scanner to look for freeze-frame data to see if the code set during a specific scenario (e.g., startup).
Before condemning the sensor, the battery must be tested. If the battery is failing, the sensor code may be a symptom, not the cause. This is the brain that dictates how the
A malfunctioning DC/DC converter or a low-charged high-voltage (HV) battery causing unexpected voltage drops.
I've already checked for rocks or debris but the shutters look clear. Has anyone had success just replacing the motor, or did you have to swap the whole assembly? Also, if anyone knows which fuse controls this circuit, that would be a huge help before I start tearing the bumper off! Thanks in advance.
Why? Because the PCM performs self-tests (monitors) only when certain criteria are met. If the battery sensor reports low voltage or unstable power, the PCM disables these monitors to protect the engine and electrical system. This results in "false" EVAP codes that disappear once the battery sensor issue is resolved. Illuminates on the dashboard
: Hey everyone, my [Year] [Model] just threw a P155B-00 code. From what I've gathered, this is related to the Active Grille Shutter.
The IBS calculates the battery's State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH). It communicates this data via a LIN bus (Local Interconnect Network) to the PCM. The PCM uses this data to regulate the alternator output, deciding when to charge the battery aggressively and when to "unload" the engine to save fuel.
The sensor values are out of range, stuck, or fluctuating erratically.
