This theoretical paper introduces the concept of – a hybrid psychological construct combining the cognitive appraisal of desire with the somatic and valenced experience of emotion. Unlike traditional drive theories (Hull, 1943) or pure incentive motivation (Berridge, 2004), Desiremo posits that wanting and liking are inseparable from emotional context. We propose that Desiremo operates as a dynamic feedback loop: emotional states generate desire, and the fulfillment of desire modulates subsequent emotional tone. Implications for addiction, consumer behavior, and clinical apathy are discussed.
